Walt McDonald, a REALTOR® from Riverside, Calif., is the 2004 President of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® . NAR represents more than 1 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.

Walt has been a REALTOR since 1964. He is the broker-owner of Walt McDonald Real Estate, a single-office, independent firm specializing in property sales, leasing and lending. At the national level, Walt has been active with legislative, finance and housing issues. He served on the NAR Executive Committee and as a Regional Vice President. He also served as president of the California Association of REALTORS.

Walt has been active in the community, having served on the advisory board of the local Habitat for Humanity chapter and on the advisory board for the Riverside National Bank. He is currently serving a two-year term on the advisory board for Fannie Mae and also served on the California Department of Real Estate Advisory under an appointment by the governor.
