Microsoft Research and some of the geniuses in the PhD program at Carnegie Mellon University created this interesting method for showing you how "guessable" your proposed password is - as you type it.

To help you find out if your password is more wishy-washy than you thought, this weak-password prevention system tries to guess each character of your password before you type it.

As you type the system either displays an "X" to indicate that the character you finally typed was one of their guesses - or a checkmark to indicate that the character you typed was one they could not guess. Useful and fun!
