Here's a neat tick astonishing and easy. If you use an iPhone, it's a piece of cake. Ask someone if they think you can tell them all of the commercial airplane flights that are overhead right now.

Then, just fire up your phone and ask Siri: "Planes overhead?" Siri will show you a list of all the planes in the air above your location

We just checked and found four planes Southwest, United, American and Jet Blue along with the flight numbers, altitude, angle, distance and type of plane (Boeing, Airbus, etc). All of this along with a sky map showing these planes and their position in the sky relative to you and to each other.

Great trick!

Trick 1

How'd you like to buy a pair of expensive shoes and find out they mistakenly tagged the Ferragamos at $11? That's what this is like -- but a lot better.

Flight mistake-fares are airline price glitches that often offer gigantic mistakenly reduced ticket prices due to a glitch -- usually due to a human or technology error. Every once in a while, they come up with a whopper like several US cities to Hawaii and return for $7 USD. This one was the Granddaddy of computer airfare mess ups. You can almost picture the smiles on the faces of those travelers.

Scott sits at his computer day in and day out with his green shades on doing the research for you. He alerts you lightning fast so you can book these bargains before the airlines or hotels discover their boo boos.

Keep alert and be ready to pounce -- and you may fly for peanuts.

The basic service is on the house the advanced service costs a few shekels.

For years Google has been a treasure trove of good stuff. Their translation program is the granddaddy and provides the foundation to this field.

Just go to this great place and type in the text you would like translated. These smart folks will not only detect the language you have presented but it will proceed to translate the text into your choice of over 100 languages including the likes of Bengali, Xhosa and the ever lovin' Igbo.

You have to believe that Google has their eyes on the much ballyhooed "in ear" translation invention. If you can believe the developers, it won't be long before their gizmo, called the "Pilot", is in your ear and you'll be hearing Frenchmen talking to you in French - you hearing their words in English and vice versa. See:

But from recent reports maybe it's a good idea to keep your imagination under control! We're sure that the inventors are not smoking funny stuff, but it may be a while before this Buck Rogers solution is in your ear.
