We'll bet, when you make an on-line purchase at Amazon, that you scour the reviews - and that, unless you know the product well, they usually help you make your decision. But did you know that a bunch of the reviews are often phony baloney - placed there by the manufacturer to entice you to buy.

Finally there is an easy way to check out these reviews that often start with terms like "Awesome Product" - "Must Have" - "The Best I've Ever Seen". When in doubt simply go to this valuable resource and with three easy steps you'll get a good idea of the validity of these reviews.
Step #1. At the site insert the URL for any Amazon product, Yelp of Trip Advisor business in the "Analyze" box.
Step #2. Click "Analyze"

Shazam! You will be instantly presented with a report that includes an alpha rating - A, B etc. If you see a D or F you can be pretty sure that these folks are convinced that the seller has been trying some hocus pocus with their ratings.

USA Today, CNBC and many other press behemoths speak well of this service that has analyzed over 1,1 Billion reviews. Gotta be doing something right.

They're out there to get us -and we'd better protect ourselves. Here's a good place to start. The Better Business Institute has created this great place to provide the good guys with a forum to alert the rest of the good guys about scams being committed across the United States and Canada.

You can search geographically from a well-presented map or by type of scam and get details on each scam reported. A search of scams reported in the first six weeks of this year, presented a list of over five thousand incidents.

You will also find timely scam alerts on subjects such as opioid treatment, URL spoofing and W-2 tax rip-offs.

As of this writing these good folks have identified and reported on 98,158 swindles perpetuated by bad dudes on the good guys.
