Want to dazzle your kids and the neighbors? Just point out your window - or up in the sky from your back yard and show them the International Space Station (ISS) zooming across the shy!

Because of its size the ISS reflects a large amount of sunlight and can easily be spotted with the naked eye. The best time to watch the ISS is at nighttime at your location and while the Space Station, because of its height in the sky, is reflecting sunlight. This viewing situation generally occurs in the morning before sunrise, or in the evening after sunset.

Just enter your location into the box and up comes a list of the next sighting opportunities for your position. The green bars indicate the brightness of the ISS on its pass. The list contains all visible passes of the ISS during the next ten days.

That should keep the kids entertained.

It's a tough day today (the day of this visit) for Bill Gates. His net worth only went up $224.3 million. He's probably bummed because Jeff Bezos went up 1.1 BILLION today. But say a prayer for Charles Ergen (Dish Network) who sits with head in hands -- down $302 million for the day. He'll be ok though - he still has 17.3 Billion left!

Forbes now brings us real time sleuthing of the daily ups (and downs) of the world's billionaires by tracking changes in their net worth. They do this by measuring their gain or loss to the minute, from 5pm EST, on the previous trading day.

Wonder if the billionaires follow this - or if, from time to time, they just know intuitively that they have had a crummy day.

You've seen those funny little bar code images along with long numbers printed on the packaging of just about everything you buy. These UPC (Universal Product Code) images and numbers were designed primarily to track items online, in stores and at checkout. But their use to us, as consumers, goes way beyond that.

Smart phone apps allow us to scan the UPC on an item -- and in seconds see if the store down the street - or an internet retailer is selling the identical item at a lower price. In addition you can now go to this great place and get a lot of related product information including images, on-line shopping guides and much more.

With over 60 million unique UPC numbers in their lookup database, this is an interesting place to visit.
