Google says, "See More. Plan Less." And that says it all about this thinking program for your smart phone (iPhone or Android) - well most of it.

Google Trips makes it easy to plan and organize your trip. It automatically maps out a half day -- or a full day with suggestions for things to see and do. Don't like what you see? Tap the "magic wand" to see more nearby sights. Each tap of the wand gives you a fresh set of nearby attractions -and adjusts your trip map.

Whatever you enjoy - museums - pizza - parks - beaches - this neat app shows you tons of cool things along your proposed route. And it also organizes your travel details like reservations and confirmation numbers. It simply gathers your travel information and organizes it automatically. Plus, the entire app is available off-line, so you can see your info wherever you are.

It's your new travel magic wand

What do you do while walking around when you see a flyer you want to read later - or you scratch a note on an envelope when a friend tells you their phone number? You either stick it in your pocket, wallet, pocketbook of briefcase and get to it when you arrive home.

It's often like that on the Internet - you're at your computer and on the web. You arrive at a site you need to come back to later. Sure, you can bookmark it - but there's a bland ending to that move. What if you want to visit the site from your smart phone - or a different browser?

Trick 1

After a few decades, most of use a few medications (our meds) to keep us on an even keel. After a few more decades, most of us need to keep track of the drawer full of bottles of pills and capsules.

This great place is sponsored by the non-profit MedSh'adow Foundation and is an on-line resource that helps patients to be proactive about their medications and to check on side effects of the medications prescribed to them. This gives users the opportunity to ask their health professionals deeper+ questions regarding the pros and cons of specific prescription drugs, and, if appropriate, explore other options such as alternative treatments or behavioral changes.

The Foundation recognizes that medications save lives and that many are necessary in treating chronic illnesses and in managing life-and-death situations. They also point out that some medications are sometimes over-prescribed. Their goal is to help patients to do a risk/benefit analysis of the medications they are prescribed and take a proactive role in their own health.

Nice people.

You receive an intriguing e-mail and really want to get more information on the opportunity presented. It looks legitimate but there is one catch - the link that would lead you to the information looks strange - it goes to places like /tinyurl.com or goo.gl or ity.com. (There is a comprehensive list of link shortening services at: https://bit.do/list-of-url-shorteners.php )

This may be a completely legitimate place belonging to a reputable company that needs to shorten a very lengthy URL for convenience. On the other hand it may be some rascal trying to get into your wallet.

This great service determines the actual web site to which you will be redirected then uses data from Google's Safe Browsing service to indicate if the web site is safe to visit. The service checks the URL entered against the list of all web sites containing malware and phishing sites.

These people are lookin' out for you!
